Dear Change Makers,
The feedback we are getting from our second leadership retreat follow-up meeting - which held in Mile 19, and was well attended - is full of praise. The capacity of our community to tackle priority development issues is increasing and impacting other communities positively. We want to do better, and welcome clear evidence based information to improve our decision making. We are channelling the trust and overwhelming support of our community into programmes that are increasing employment, income and comfort for people, and can spur others to help do the same in other places.
It is my honour, therefore, to personally invite each of you to attend the forthcoming 3rd Mile 19 Community Leadership Retreat Follow-up Meeting which promises to be much more exciting. As you can see from the programme, this very important Meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss some of the most pressing issues facing our community and world today, to observe our continuing engagement with our community, and contribute to freeing society from corruption in democratic governance and economic development.
With record attendance expected, I want to assure you that we will do all we can to secure accommodation for you. Every family in Mile 19, for example, is prepared to host at least one Meeting participant free of charge. Similar negotiations are ongoing with neighbouring villages to secure quality accommodation for participants on a first-come, first-served basis even as priority will be given to very important personalities (VIPs) and those coming from far away. Come live with us, experience our way of life and hospitality.
