Day 2: Wednesday July 30, 2008 7.00 am - 8.55 am - Breakfast 9.00 am - Opening Ceremony - Welcome Address (Chief/Quarter Head, Mile 19) - Prayer, libation and other traditional rites - Meeting Rationale and Programme (Regent, Mile 19) - Rhyme/Sketch/Song (Community Government School) - Invitation to visit the village and school (Chief/Quarter Head) 9.45 am - Brief Visit to Village and School (The Chief will lead VIPs and other participants in a short walk with observations through the village to the community Government school and back. Visit will end with light refreshment.) 10.30 am - Session 1 - FOLLOW-UP REPORT - What has changed, improved or run down since the last Meeting regarding: + Water + Health + Agriculture + Education + Environment + Women + Youth + Etc. - General Discussions of the Follow-up Report 12.30 pm - 1.30 pm - Lunch 1.30 pm - Session 2 - COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION AND RULE OF LAW - How Mile 19 Community is Organized (Regent, Mile 19) - Rules and Regulations Development (Council Secretary, Mile 19) - Due Process of Community Council as Court (Block Heads, Mile 19) - General Discussions 4.00 pm - 5.30 pm - Special Events 6.00 pm - Supper and Evening Entertainment Programme
Day 3: Thursday July 31, 2008 7.00 am - 8.55 am - Breakfast 9.00 am - Session 3 - REVIEW OF PROJECT PLANS AND BUDGETS - Education for All in the Community - Libraries (for the Community and School) - Other Buildings (School classrooms and toilets, Community Hall) - Networks (Cable Television, mobile phones and the Internet) - Community Administration, Data Collection and Research - Rain Water Runoff Drainage - Street/Path Pavement and Lighting - Community Health Centre/Clinic/Hospital - Drinking Water Tank and Piping to every home Network - General Discussions of Project Plans and Budgets 12.30 pm - 1.30 pm - Lunch 1.30 pm - Session 4 - MILE 19 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND - Administration - Fund Raising Strategies and Plans - Activities and Results - Challenges and Opportunities - General Discussions 4.00 pm - 5.30 pm - Special Events 6.00 pm - Supper and Evening Entertainment Programme
